Rehabilitation specialists work daily with seniors’ residences as part of a falls prevention program to prevent and reduce the risk of injuries that can occur among this higher-risk population.
The acquisition of three electric exercise pedals for the Outaouais’s CHSLD nursing homes will provide staff with an additional tool to strengthen the users’ leg muscles and improve their mobility. These devices are designed specifically for users with limited lower body mobility and the strength can be adjusted to adapt to the user’s evolution as part of their rehabilitation program.
