When their son Mathis died of cancer at the age of 3, Mr. Dontigny and Mrs. Paradis decided to create a foundation in his memory. Since 2009, they have worked selflessly every year to organize of a golf tournament to raise funds in support of children and adults suffering from cancer, as well as for all other childhood diseases.
Despite the exceptional times we are going through, Mr. Dontigny and Ms. Paradis were able to hold their tournament while respecting social distancing rules and raised the wonderful sum of $8,000 for the Gatineau Health Foundation!
Since its creation, the Mathis Dumais-Dontigny Foundation has donated more than $120,000 to the Gatineau Health Foundation to improve pediatric care at the CISSS de l’Outaouais.
